Reverse PoE Architecture

The TL-RP108GE receives power through seven gigabit PoE input ports via PoE injectors from user outlets. Port 8 functions as a PoE output port, supplying power to CPEs and similar network devices. This reverse PoE configuration consolidates data switching and power delivery into a single unit, reducing cable clutter and eliminating the need for multiple dedicated electrical outlets.

Dual Voltage DC Output

The integrated DC output port supports both 5V and 12V voltage switching, providing compatibility with ONTs and other devices requiring direct DC power. This dual voltage capability adds deployment flexibility for various network equipment configurations.

Gigabit Performance and Management

All 8 RJ45 ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation with a switching capacity of 16 Gbps and packet forwarding rate of 11.9 Mbps. The switch operates on a store-and-forward transfer method with a 4K MAC address table and supports jumbo frames up to 16KB.

Management features include web user interface and downloadable utility access, supporting port-based/802.1p/DSCP priority with 4 priority queues, rate limiting, and storm control. VLAN support accommodates up to 32 simultaneous VLANs from 4K VLAN IDs with MTU/Port/Tag configurations.

Layer 2 Network Features
