With 4 spatial streams and 2.5 GbE connectivity, this access point provides exceptional wireless performance for high-density deployments.

WiFi 7 Performance and Coverage

Featuring the latest 802.11be WiFi 7 standard, the U7-IW achieves maximum data rates of 4.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The access point supports 2x2 DL/UL MU-MIMO on both bands, providing reliable connectivity for 200+ concurrent clients across a coverage area of 115 m² (1,250 ft²). With antenna gains of 8 dBi (5 GHz) and 4 dBi (2.4 GHz), the U7-IW ensures strong signal propagation throughout your space.

Integrated 2.5 GbE PoE Switch

The U7-IW includes three 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports with an integrated PoE+ switch, allowing you to power downstream devices directly from the access point. This eliminates the need for additional network infrastructure in hotel rooms, dorms, or office spaces. Note that PoE+ input (42.5-57V DC) is required to enable the single-port PoE output functionality.

Advanced Network Management Features

The access point supports comprehensive enterprise features including 802.11r fast roaming, 802.11k Radio Resource Management, 802.11v BSS Transition Management, and band steering for optimal client performance. Additional capabilities include wireless meshing, Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), captive portal support, Private Pre-Shared Key (PPSK), RADIUS over TLS (RadSec), and dynamic VLAN assignment. Configure up to 8 BSSIDs per radio for network segmentation.

Compact Wall-Mount Design

Measuring just 137 x 98.7 x 30.2 mm and weighing 400g, the U7-IW installs flush against walls using the included aluminum alloy mount. The polycarbonate and aluminum alloy enclosure houses white/blue status LEDs for at-a-glance monitoring. Maximum power consumption is 13W (excluding PoE output).

The U7-IW supports backward compatibility with WiFi 6 (802.11ax), WiFi 5 (802.11ac), and 802.11n devices, ensuring seamless connectivity across all client types. Managed via UniFi Network Controller, this access point integrates into existing UniFi deployments with centralized configuration and monitoring.
