Advanced Hardware Configuration

This Gen2 switch features 48 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports for comprehensive network connectivity, plus 4 additional 1G SFP ethernet ports for fiber uplinks or long-distance connections. The 195W PoE power budget ensures sufficient power distribution across connected devices, with ports 1-32 supporting IEEE 802.3af/at standards for maximum compatibility with PoE-enabled equipment.

Touchscreen Display Management

The integrated 1.3-inch touchscreen display provides real-time monitoring without requiring computer access. View system information, errors, warnings, port statistics, PoE power consumption, and throughput data directly from the front panel. Synchronized LCM displays allow you to touch one screen to wake all connected UniFi switches, streamlining network management across multiple devices.

Layer 3 Switching Capabilities

UniFi switches offer Layer 3 switching functionality, enabling advanced routing protocols and inter-VLAN routing for complex network topologies. This feature will be available in a future software release, providing investment protection as your network requirements evolve.

Redundant Power System Compatibility

While this model does not include built-in USP-RPS power redundancy, it's designed to work within the UniFi SmartPower ecosystem. The UniFi SmartPower RPS system provides PSU failover protection, automatically supplying backup power in the event of a power supply failure. One USP-RPS device can support up to 6 switches simultaneously until failed components are replaced.

Rack-Mountable Design

With dimensions of 442.4 x 285 x 43.7 mm, the USW-48-POE fits standard 19-inch server racks for professional installation. The compact 1U form factor maximizes rack space efficiency while maintaining optimal cooling and accessibility for cable management.
