The Ubiquiti USW-ULTRA is a compact Layer 2 managed network switch designed for flexible deployment in small business and enterprise environments. This 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch features advanced PoE++ input capability and provides reliable power distribution across seven PoE+ output ports.

Power Over Ethernet Flexibility

The USW-ULTRA delivers versatile power options with 42W PoE availability when using PoE++ input, or 16W with PoE+ input. Each port supports up to 30W PoE+ output, making it ideal for powering IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, and other network devices. The switch supports multiple power input methods including 54V adapters and PoE++ passthrough, with optional AC adapters providing up to 202W total PoE budget (adapters sold separately).

Network Performance and Management

Built for reliable performance, the USW-ULTRA offers 8 Gbps total non-blocking throughput, 16 Gbps switching capacity, and 11.904 Mpps forwarding rate. The switch includes comprehensive Layer 2 features: port isolation, storm control, port mirroring, multicast/broadcast rate limiting, flow control, jumbo frame support, and egress rate limiting. Management is handled through Ethernet in-band interface, integrating seamlessly with UniFi Network Controller software.

Compact and Durable Design

Measuring just 203 x 76 x 33 mm (8 x 3 x 1.3") and weighing 320g, this polycarbonate-enclosed switch offers versatile mounting options including wall mount capability. The compact form factor makes it perfect for installations where space is limited, while the durable construction ensures reliable operation in ambient temperatures from -30°C to 60°C (with PoE++ input).
