The Ubiquiti UXG-MAX is a compact, high-performance gateway designed for small-to-medium business networks requiring full 2.5G multi-WAN capabilities. This advanced router delivers enterprise-grade security and routing performance in a space-efficient form factor.

Network Performance and Connectivity

Equipped with five 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports, the UXG-MAX provides one dedicated WAN port and four LAN ports, with one LAN port remappable to WAN for flexible dual-WAN configurations. The quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor running at 1.5 GHz with 2GB DDR4 memory delivers up to 1.5 Gbps routing throughput with IDS/IPS enabled.

The gateway supports WiFi QoS with UniFi APs, application-based QoS, domain and country-based traffic management, plus device type identification for granular network control. Internet quality monitoring and outage reporting provide visibility into connection reliability.

Enterprise Security Features

The UXG-MAX implements signature-based IPS/IDS threat detection with application-aware firewall rules. Content filtering, country blocking, domain filtering, and ad blocking capabilities protect your network. VLAN and subnet-based traffic segmentation with full stateful firewall ensures secure network isolation.

Advanced Routing and VPN Capabilities

License-free SD-WAN functionality enables intelligent traffic routing across multiple WAN connections. The gateway functions as a WireGuard, L2TP, and OpenVPN server, with OpenVPN client support and IPsec site-to-site VPN. One-click Teleport and Identity Enterprise VPN simplify remote access deployment. Policy-based WAN and VPN routing, DHCP relay, customizable DHCP server, and IPv6 ISP support provide comprehensive networking flexibility.

Management and Specifications

Managed through CloudKey, Official UniFi Hosting, or UniFi Network Server (version 8.1.113 or later), the UXG-MAX integrates seamlessly into UniFi ecosystems. The compact polycarbonate enclosure measures 141.8 x 127.6 x 30 mm and weighs 520g with IK04 impact resistance. USB-C powered (5V/3A) with 100-240V support and 9.6W maximum power consumption.
