This stackable switch delivers 128 Gbps switching capacity per unit with 24 gigabit RJ45 ports and 4x 10 Gbps SFP+ slots for high-speed fiber connectivity.

Stackable Architecture with 512 Gbps Total Capacity

Physical stacking supports up to 4 units with 80 Gbps stack bandwidth, creating a combined 512 Gbps switching capacity. This stackable design provides built-in redundancy and scalability for growing network infrastructures without requiring complex configurations.

Advanced Layer 3 Routing Protocols

The SG6428X supports comprehensive L3 routing capabilities including Static Routing, RIP, OSPF, ECMP, and VRRP. PIM-DM multicast routing ensures efficient handling of multicast traffic groups. DHCP Server and Relay functions simplify IP address management across network segments. Support for up to 256 IPv4 and 256 IPv6 interfaces enables flexible network design.

Redundant Power Supply for Maximum Uptime

Two internal fixed power supply modules (100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) provide hardware-level redundancy. Combined with VRRP protocol support and ERPS ring topology protection, the switch maintains network availability even during component failures or topology changes.

Comprehensive security includes IEEE 802.1X authentication, Dynamic ARP Inspection, ACL support for IPv4 and IPv6, Port Security, DoS defense, and IP-MAC-Port binding. MAB (MAC Authentication Bypass) and AAA with TACACS+ support provide flexible authentication options. Management traffic is secured through HTTPS with SSLv3/TLS 1.2 and SSHv2 CLI access.

Omada SDN Centralized Management

Integration with the Omada Software Defined Networking platform enables centralized cloud management of switches, access points, and routers from a single interface. Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) simplifies deployment at scale. The switch can also be managed standalone via web GUI, CLI (console/telnet), SNMP v1/v2c/v3, or the Omada mobile app.

ISP and Service Provider Features

802.3ah Ethernet Link OAM, L2PT (Layer 2 Protocol Tunneling), DLDP (Device Link Detect Protocol), DDM, and sFlow support make the SG6428X suitable for service provider environments. VLAN VPN (QinQ) with 256 entries enables service segregation.

The switch delivers 95.2 Mpps packet forwarding rate with a 32K MAC address table and 9KB jumbo frame support. It supports up to 4K VLAN groups, 2,048 IGMP groups, and includes ERPS, GVRP, and Private VLAN capabilities. Link aggregation, spanning tree protocols, and port mirroring provide network optimization and troubleshooting capabilities.
