The VigorAP 912C is a dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 mesh wireless access point designed to eliminate wireless dropouts, stuttering videos, slow download speeds, and Wi-Fi dead zones. This ceiling-mounted solution provides flexible deployment options as either a mesh network node, traditional access point, or range extender.
Mesh Network Capabilities
DrayTek's mesh system connects and intelligently manages up to 8 VigorAPs wirelessly. One access point functions as the mesh root controller while additional nodes extend coverage throughout your facility without expensive cabling installations. The self-optimizing mesh automatically ensures network nodes use the fastest path to the mesh root, with automatic failover if any node experiences issues.
AC1200 Wireless Performance
The VigorAP 912C delivers AC1200 speeds across dual-band frequencies. 802.11ac Wave 2 Multi-User MIMO technology improves efficiency for multiple concurrent connections. Band steering directs 5GHz-capable devices to the optimal frequency for maximum throughput, while 2.4GHz remains available for legacy device compatibility.
Configuration and Management Options
Initial setup is streamlined through the DrayTek Wireless mobile app, with a Quick Start Wizard guiding configuration whether deploying mesh networks, AP mode, or range extender mode. Management flexibility includes VigorACS cloud platform, VigorConnect, Router AP Management, or direct web interface access. This versatility accommodates various network architectures from standalone installations to centrally managed enterprise deployments.
Wireless Optimization Features
Airtime Fairness improves time management across wireless clients, preventing slower devices from monopolizing bandwidth. AP-Assisted Roaming helps client devices seamlessly connect to the access point with the strongest signal as users move throughout coverage areas. Auto-optimization continuously monitors network performance, with mesh nodes identifying and connecting to the best next hop automatically.
