ASUS PRIME B550M-K AMD B550 Micro ATX Motherboard

AMD AM4 Socket Platform

Compatible with 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors, the PRIME B550M-K provides a solid foundation for modern computing. The AM4 socket supports a wide range of Ryzen CPUs, delivering the performance needed for productivity and multitasking workloads. Note: Not compatible with Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G APUs.

DDR4 Memory Support

Four DIMM slots support dual-channel DDR4 memory up to 128GB capacity. Memory speeds up to 4600MHz (O.C.) are supported with 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs, with native support for DDR4-3200. This configuration provides bandwidth for demanding applications and multitasking scenarios.

PCIe 4.0 Connectivity

The motherboard features one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for graphics cards, delivering double the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0. Two additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots provide expansion options for additional cards. Dual M.2 slots support NVMe SSDs with PCIe 4.0 speeds up to 64 Gbps, with support for drives up to 22110 length.

Storage Configuration

Cooling and Power Design

The PRIME B550M-K includes a PCH heatsink and hybrid fan headers configurable through Fan Xpert 2+ software or UEFI BIOS. One CPU fan header and two chassis fan headers provide cooling control for system stability under sustained workloads.

Connectivity and Audio

Gigabit Ethernet provides wired network connectivity. USB options include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (10Gbps), six USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports across rear I/O and internal headers. Realtek ALC887 codec delivers 7.1-channel HD audio with audio shielding and separate layers for left and right tracks to minimize interference.
