The Plugable USBC-VAMETER3 is a compact USB-C power meter designed to monitor charging performance and electrical current in real time. This bidirectional tester measures voltage and amperage across the full USB Extended Power Range (EPR) spectrum, supporting 4.5-50V and 50mA-6.5A operating ranges with up to 240W power delivery.

OLED Display with Adjustable Orientation

The updated OLED screen provides brighter visibility in all lighting conditions, displaying voltage, amperage, and directional current flow simultaneously. A built-in orientation button allows 180-degree screen rotation for optimal viewing regardless of connection angle.

Bidirectional Pass-Through Design

This USB-C tester functions as a transparent interposer, connecting inline between USB-C devices without interrupting data transmission or charging protocols. The meter supports USB data speeds from 1.1 through 3.1 Gen 2, USB-C Alternate Mode video, and USB-C charging while monitoring power delivery. It achieves this by tapping only the VBUS and ground connections, leaving data lines untouched.

How it Works
This meter is a transparent interposer–it should not interfere with the USB data (1.1 through 3.1 Gen 2), USB-C Alternate Mode video, or USB-C charging. The meter can be used in-line with USB-C docking stations, chargers, and other USB-C accessories. The meter is able to achieve this without interfering with normal USB-C operation as it only taps into the power (VBUS) and ground connections to measure values and leaves the data lines untouched.
