WiFi 7 Performance and Coverage

Operating across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with 4 spatial streams, the U7-Outdoor achieves throughput rates up to 4.3 Gbps using 802.11be WiFi 7 standard. The integrated directional super antenna provides 465 m² (5,000 ft²) coverage with software-adjustable beamwidth: 90 degrees at 2.4 GHz and 45 degrees at 5 GHz. The access point supports 200+ concurrent clients with OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies for network efficiency.

Weather-Resistant Construction

Built with UV-stabilized polycarbonate and aluminum alloy, the U7-Outdoor features IPX6 weatherproofing for outdoor exposed installations. The enclosure withstands wind loads of 74.6 N at 200 km/h (16.8 lbf at 125 mph) and operates in temperatures from -30 to 60°C (-22 to 140°F). The compact 170 x 208 x 54.5 mm housing weighs 1.2 kg and includes versatile mounting options for walls, ceilings, and poles (25-60 mm diameter).

Network Connectivity and Power

The single 2.5 GbE RJ45 port supports PoE+ (802.3at) power delivery, eliminating separate power cable requirements. Maximum power consumption reaches 19W with a supported voltage range of 42.5-57V DC. The access point integrates seamlessly with UniFi PoE switches for centralized management through the UniFi Network Controller.

Advanced Wireless Features

The U7-Outdoor supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards with WPA-PSK and WPA-Enterprise security (WPA/WPA2/WPA3/PPSK). Configuration includes 8 BSSIDs per radio, 802.1Q VLAN tagging, per-user rate limiting QoS, and guest traffic isolation. The directional internal antenna delivers 8 dBi gain at 2.4 GHz and 12.5 dBi at 5 GHz, while external omni antennas provide 3 dBi and 4 dBi respectively. Two RP-SMA connectors allow external antenna expansion.

Installation and Management

The package includes the U7-Outdoor access point, 2 external antennas, wall plate template level, wall plate mount, multipurpose mount, 2 jubilee clips, and complete mounting hardware. Status LEDs indicate power (white/blue) and mesh signal strength (4 blue indicators). A factory reset button enables quick reconfiguration. The device carries CE, FCC, and IC certifications.
