Built on the latest 802.11ax standard, the U6-IW delivers 4.8 Gbps throughput on the 5 GHz band and 573.5 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The 4x4 MU-MIMO configuration on 5 GHz ensures efficient handling of multiple simultaneous connections, supporting 300+ concurrent clients. With maximum transmit power of 26 dBm on 5 GHz and 22 dBm on 2.4 GHz, coverage remains consistent throughout your space.

In-Wall Design and Installation

Measuring 139.66 x 96 x 31.19 mm, the U6-IW fits discreetly into standard wall junction boxes. The snap-on cover plate and intuitive mounting mechanism enable straightforward installation. Constructed from plastic and aluminum, the 460g unit integrates seamlessly with interior environments while maintaining durability.

Network Connectivity

The access point features one 1GbE RJ45 data-in port and four 1GbE RJ45 data-out ports, enabling wired device connectivity directly from the wall plate. PoE input powers the unit (13.5W max consumption), requiring a UniFi PoE switch or optional 48V 0.5A adapter. One port supports PoE output when connected to a PoE+ switch (15.4W max per port).

Wireless Security and Management

Security features include WPA3 support, 802.1Q VLAN tagging, and guest traffic isolation. Configure up to 8 BSSIDs per radio with per-user rate limiting through advanced QoS. The UniFi Controller software provides centralized management across your entire network infrastructure, with Ethernet and Bluetooth management interfaces available.
